Because trains run in the real world and not in a vacuum, Select Electric installs grade crossing systems to ensure safe interaction among trains and trolleys, cars and pedestrians. Flashing railroad beacons and crossing gates warn motorists and pedestrians of oncoming trains. Automotive traffic signals are integrated with the rail traffic, resulting in a seamless flow, minimal delays and travel harmony for all. We installed Southern California’s first Quiet Zone system, which creates rail corridors and intersections where trains don’t have to sound their horns. By using quieter, on-the-ground alerts at crossings rather than a train’s horn, decibels are lowered.
